Friday and Saturday in Sherburne (6/18 - 6/19): it's pea and wild strawberry season!
Overview of the four beds out back: beets, carrots and more onions were planted in the blank spot in front; the new bed in back got bean, corn and watermelon seeds
Onions are doing well (red and white)
The bed of greens: before and after weeding (the wild strawberries can stay)
Close-up of the asparagus (new this year: bare crowns planted late); some chives between the beds
Slugs have been eating the raspberries I put in; some wild mint is allowed to invade that bed
The original square bed, the edges filling in nicely with oregano (greek and italian), dianthus, bee balm; some sorrel and thyme in the middle.
Friday night in the yurt: candle holder Laurie got me; elderberry growing outside
